what do you think about my feelings?

Well I have a problem and I would like to explain here... I feel something weird, sadly, I can say when I'm seeing tmnt. I'm not sure why I feel this, it's embarrassing but I think it's cause I wish to think that they're not just a cartoons...
I know that I'm a bit older to believe in this, but I can't do anything.
What would you do if you're feeling this?

I feel the same way. I sometimes find it hard to talk to people about my favorite show, cuz I feel they might think I'm liing a show that's too young for me. That's definatly not true. Here's what I do: tell the truth, even if you feel embarressed, with a smile on your face. If they think that it's too young for you, tough beans for them. If they ask, say "Oh yeah, they're awesome! No doubt!

Well, you won't believe how some people make fun of me because of this. Some even started calling me turtle. But do you know what? I smile, point them my middle finger and tell them that they're worse than me.

And about how you feel...well, we all feel that way, it's normal. It's kinda like when you're in love with someone that's too far away, dead or in this case, that it's not real. You don't have to be embarrassed about it. You just have to accept the way things are. If you think you're too old for it well, what about the people that make comic books and cartoons and anime, manga, toys? If they thought they were too old for those things, the TMNT wouldn't even exist! So just, you know, be positive! Now put that frown upside down to turn it into a smile!

Well, sure. I think anyone with a fantastic obsession wishes such things, just as X-Men fans wish it were that easy to just be born with superpowers.

In many ways, I think we all wish the Turtles were real, but if they were really real, well, just some thoughts to consider:

You probably would never see them. Ever. Being ninja trained for the sake of staying out of sight (and to kill the Shredder), you'd be hard-pressed to run into one of them.

Assuming they had their distinguished personalities, I'm not sure how possible it would be to stand them for very long. You ever smell a sewer? It smells like what it is - human waste. Everything that goes down the toilet ends up in their home. I like the way one of the Foot mystics described them in Tales of the TMNT #3, "The Turtles... how I hate them... I hate their still-born reptilian ugliness, the stench of human waste that clings to them like rancid yolk..." Which brings up another point.

Mutated Turtles sure look cool in the comics, but in real life? Actual turtles transforming into a humanoid shape? They would probably be some of the most hideous things you'd ever seen, but I imagine we're suspending disbelief that they would look like their drawn counterparts.

The point isn't to discourage you, but there's no point in moping that something really cool isn't real. That's what makes it fun. It's just not always easy to accept that. The easiest way to quell these thoughts is to become as much a Ninja Turtle yourself. That is to say, take martial arts classes. Learn to use a bō properly, and gain that much more appreciation for what these characters do for you.

Dude i was feeling like this as well! and yeah the only friends i have that accepted my TMNT obsession well where the 21 year olds and that was beacuse they watched the 80s one and loved it -_- no but some of them are really cool i gotta say for older (well older than me) people

Actually before I got the feelings too. I wish I was in Aprils route getting kidnapped by the TMNT hahah, but they have inspired me to create my own fictional characters that I copyrighted and in terms of hope I can sell soon. lol

My dad was a bit more supportive of it since he likes the show himself and would watch them with me.
