New Animated TMNT Movie?

i found this on peter's blog today, sounds interesting. anyone know anything more about it because this was the first i've heard about it.

Huh, this does sound interesting! Though this is the first I've heard of this specificlly, I did hear that they were doing something for the anniversry.

it kind of sounds like they're either going to bring back old toon characters *crosses fingers for Mona returning with lots of RaphxMona as was in the old toon* or some type of strange crossover where old characters meet new. if that one is true then it'll be funny to see 2003 Raph meet his 1987 self XD

Bring back the old toons? *thinks back to all the characters of the old toons* Hmm... its possible, but I dunno if they would do that. Although it would be interesting to see how they would react to a visit from their old-toon selves!

But let's brainstorm here for a second.

1) He said it was a new animated TMNT MOVIE, correct? Most movies will bring in either an old, hated villian or some new, hotshot one. I'm more likely turning towards the first because of what Karai mentions in the fourth movie.

2) He also said that it would be in three parts; most likely meaning that whatever will happen will be much more detailed for just one episode and will be maybe too complicated for just an half hour of air time.

3) It was mentioned as seeing the TMNT in a new light or in a new way. This might break the idea of Shredder returning, but then again, what HASN'T happened already in the TMNT shows (new and old) that wasn't already outrageously out of the ordinary (besides the fact of four giant mutated ninja turtle and their rat master underneath the city of New York)?

Then again, I maybe pushing this whole thing out of proportion. All in all, this has really got me curious as to WHAT they are planning for our favourite ninja turtles...

4Kids is trying to find a distributor for a DVD of the film - hopefully they'll be able to find one and the feature will be available later this year.

The original voice cast wasn't used - 4Kids told me they considered it, but it wasn't feasible due to geographic logistics and the expenses involved.

from what it looks like, it might not even be officially released in the US either since they can't find anyone to release the DVD. which means all there will be is the time it airs on tv after the top 10
