Debbie shrugged. "I"ll find a place." She could hear the uncertainty in her voice and winced. She'd never been a very good actress.

The leader sighed.

"Please, don´t lie to us. I guess you could stay with us for a while. I hope Sensei agrees" he said.

"And where do four mutant turtles live? In the sewers?" Lisa asked and they nodded.

"Okay.... well, I have my own place in the sewers" she informed.

"I'll be fine." Tasha said as she pulled the hood of her blanket back over her head. Some of her long brown hair showed and she shoved it back. "Will I see you again?"

"Probably." Don commented as Leo continued talking to Debbie. "Where are you staying?"

"Uh...right here." Tasha whispered and Don frowned.

"With the Dragons on the loose and babies to look after?" Don shook his head furiously. "You're coming with us."

"But-"

"No buts. You're shivering." He pointed out and Tasha growled. pulling the blanket tighter around her.

"Fine."

"What are your names?" Debbie asked the group.

"I'm Leonardo." The blue masked turtle said. "This is Donatello," He gestured to the purple masked turtle. "Michelangelo," orange mask. "and Raphael." Red mask.

Debbie smirked. "You're all named after famous painters."

"Funny thing about that, we all suck at art." Michelangelo smirked.

"Technically, Ninjitsu is considered an art." Donatello stated.

Michelangelo shrugged. "Maybe..."

Tasha smiled at that. "They are called Martial 'Arts' for a reason, you know?" She pointed out. "It's like normal art, you have to keep practising to perfect it, no matter how long it takes."

"You know about martial arts?" Leo asked and Tasha blushed slightly.

"Yeah, but I don't like to fight."

Debbie frowned. "I feel kinda out of place, I know zero martial arts. Anyway my name's Debbie."

"I know them, but I haven't done training for months." Tasha sighed as the turtles led them to the nearest manhole. "The Dragons barely gave me room to move."

Debbie frowned and put her arm around Tasha. "You poor thing. You look half starved!"

"Living on the streets is rough." Tasha shivered, instincitively leaning into Debbie as they walked. "At least I'm better off than when I was with the Dragons." There was a whimper from her amrs and Tasha lifted the the twins onto her shoulders. "Ssh, don't cry. Mama's here."

"I've seen worse." Tasha shrugged. "What? Hun was worse!"

"So..what are their names?" Don asked, peering curiously at the twins as they began dozing off.

"Oh, they're both girls. Alice and Jess." Tasha smiled as both of the 10 month-old babies looked up at their names.

"They're so cute!" Debbie smiled, then frowned. "Who's Hun?"

"The leader of the Purple Dragons." Leo answered.

"You mean those thugs?"

"Yeah."

"How do you know all of this?" She asked suspiciously.

"Let's just say we've had some run-ins with him." Raph said.

"Thanks." Tasha smiled. She looked around to see Leo and Raph pulling the cover off the manhole. "You live in the sewers?" She guessed and Don nodded.

"It's not that bad down there. Trust me." He smiled and Tasha nodded.

"Ok."

"Where's the dudette's dad?" Mikey suddenly asked and Tasha froze, biting her lip.

"I...don't even know who he was."

Debbie sighed and turned to Raph. "He's a fricking idiot isn't he?"

"Pretty much."

"Well SO-RRY!" Mikey yelled crossing his arms.

"It's alright..." Tasha trailed off when she realized she'd forgotten which turtle was which, "Mikey?"

"That's me." The jokester grinned as he helped Tasha, Debbie and Lisa into the manhole.

"I've never been in a sewer before. I don't really mind it actually. If it's underground it's my type of place." Debbie said, thinking out loud.

"If you think this is good wait until you get to our place!" Mikey said smiling. "Once we get there, I can show you guys my..." Mikey stopped for a dramatic pause.

"DON'T YA DARE SAY IT!!!" Raph yelled, tackling him.

"And what exactly was he about to say?" Debbie asked.

Mikey managed to get up for a brief moment. "Battle Nexus trophy!" He yelled.

"I TOLD YA NOT TO SAY IT!!!" Raph yelled, tackling Mikey again.

"Battle Nexus? You mean that contest that happens from 3 in 3 years?" Elizabeth questioned and kept looking at the babies.

"And how do you know about it?" the smart turtle called Donatello asked. She shrugged.

"When those dinosaur aliens invaded Earth, some of them talked about it. They also mentioned that an annoying green little brat had won this year´s championship" the girl responded.

"Well, they were really tellin´ the truth" Raphael commented and smirked. Michelangelo made an angry face.

"I remember hearing about that. Would you like to hold Alice, Debbie?" Tasha asked the woman and held the baby out to her. "Just be careful, she's a wiggly one."

Debbie giggled taking the tiny turtle from Tasha. "She's so adorable! So is the Battle Nexus a wrestling tournament or something?"

"More fighting." Leo said as they treked through the sewers. "It tests your strength, reflexes and fighting styles."

"Sounds like my type of thing." Tasha grinned. "When is the next one?"

"The Nexus works on a different time scale to here so...about 6 months." Don stated and Tasha let out a whoop.

"Man, I need to train then!"

Debbie sighed. "Fighting just isn't my thing. I tried Karate once but I was too clumsy. Kept falling on my butt."

"But you can move rock, that kind of balances things out." Don said.

"It doesn't do much if you fall over. Besides, I can't move anything bigger than a pebble right now. My link with the earth is to weak."

"Practice makes perfect." Leo said.

"Yeah well, ya see, I don't really like practicing. It makes me feel...abnormal."

The five mutant turtles and mutant tiger-girl stared at her.

"What?"

"Nothing" the turtles replied at the same time and the mutant tiger-girl looked at Debbie.

"Hey, if you haven´t notice, you already are abnormal, with or without training. Besides, not being normal is good. It makes you feel...kinda unique. If you don´t like being a freak that´s too bad because you can´t change who or what you are" Elizabeth stated in a rude tone.

"Sorry for saying that. It was Lisa´s fault again" she said and apologized again.

"Do you always talk about your "other self" in the third person? That´s a bit odd" the purple masked turtle commented.

"Of course! Lisa and I exist in the same body but we are two different people" the girl responded.

"Riiight..." Michelangelo murmured.

"You're right Elizabeth. And I think it makes sense you talk about your other-self in third person. How else would we know who we were talking too?" Debbie stated.

Mikey laughed. "She could announce it, like 'Attention! This is Lisa speaking! If you don't listen to me I'll kick all your shells!' And for Elizabeth you could be like 'Hey guys! I'm Elizabeth right now! Who wants a cookie?" Mikey said in a very bad imitation of a girl.

"...He is so weird!" Debbie exclaimed.

"You get used to it." Don shrugged.

"I never did" Raphael commented and smiled.

"Please, don´t say that about Lisa. She can hear you and she can hurt you. I´m serious. And am I really that nice?" Elizabeth said to the reptile with an orange mask.

"Well, you´re friendlier than Lisa, that´s for sure" he responded.

"We´re almost there" Leonardo suddenly anounced.
