Stories in the Puzzle

Here is the first story:

The girl was burial of her mother, who died in a car trash. And she saw one very sweet man. She got in love the same minute. In all that disarray there, she forgot to take his number. She didn't know anything about him - even the name. She looked for his number for three years, but she had no luck. Desperate, she didn't know what to do. The man didn't want to disappear from her mind. She could do only one thing: she killed her own sister.

Why did she do that?

I don't know do you see the question. The girl was on burial, she saw some man, she felt in love, and then the girl killed her sister. Why did she killed her?

OK, my story:

There was a young woman, who entered a little bar to order a glass of water. After she has ordered it and sat at the counter, the barkeeper suddenly break out a gun and leveled it at the woman.
She thanked him and left the bar...

Why did she say "Thank you?"

Here comes a new one:
Two best friends, Brenda and Aline had horses. Both of them were very fast, and poor Miia could never tell who is faster. Than, one day, a very very wise man, Lazar, came to solve problem. he told "Let's see who's got a slower horse". But, the race began, and it never ended. Three days and three nights, the girls were on their horses.Poor Miia had to call Lazar again... With only one sentence, girls started going, much faster than when they were racing who's got faster horse. What did wise Lazar told to Aline and Brenda?

Did he tell them "Go" since they were weisting time just standing in one place for those 3 days?
